A second carefully restored farmhouse on the Clos d’Yvigne estate marries the luxurious comforts of modern living to the charm of the French country house that dates back to the 17th century and earlier.
With views over the valley of the Dordogne, Madame Cholet’s is built in pale stone with terracotta-tiled floors throughout. The renovation has created a large, airy salon with lime beams and a traditional open stone fireplace.
Leading off the salon is the superbly equipped kitchen. It has been designed to serve both the dining area in the salon, the eating area in the kitchen and meals on the open terrace.
There are three double bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has a door onto the terrace. A further double bedroom is on the first floor from which there are fine views over the vineyard and the valley.
All bedrooms have their own bathrooms.
The swimming pool, which is 12 x 6 metres long, has a generous stone surround to accommodate sun beds and parasols.
